The Dynamic Ratings BPM combines offline and online testing on a single modular condition-monitoring platform. With high-speed waveform capture, it diagnoses the breaker's condition on every operation: main contacts, motor and heaters, mechanism and dielectric.
Advantages
Smart Capture diagnostics on every operation
Graphically compares each operation with the first-trip baseline: opening and closing times, latch and bearing performance, lubrication, auxiliary contacts and fault current.
Contact wear tracked through cumulative I²T
Cumulative I²T calculations schedule internal inspections only when needed, cutting the cost and labour of time-based cyclic maintenance.
SF6 and dry-air gas surveillance
Multi-parameter sensors measure density, temperature and humidity, with alarms for leakage rate, time-till-lockout trend and mass gas loss.
Charging motor monitoring built for cold weather
Logs motor starts, current and runtime, and adapts to changes in hydraulic fluid viscosity and to humidity in pneumatic systems.
Applications
- Predictive and condition-based maintenance for high-voltage circuit breakers.
- Reduced SF6 leakage and environmental protection.
- Breakers with frequent operations, such as switching between generation and the grid.
- Cold-weather sites.
About the product
Configured with only the modules needed, in a 4-slot or 9-slot frame, it combines waveform capture, SF6/dry-air surveillance, trip coil and charging motor condition, cabinet heater monitoring and ambient temperature. It identifies which coil — 1 or 2 — operated, its current and the interrupting time, with an operation counter and printable graphs.
A desktop application is included for engineers to view data and run diagnostics; an upgradable fleet edition aggregates data from every monitor to analyse maintenance trends.
Available accessories: optional partial-discharge monitoring module and additional thermal sensors.

Frequently asked questions
What is Smart Capture technology?
A waveform analysis that compares each operation with the first-trip baseline.
How does it detect contact wear?
Through cumulative I²T calculations and identification of the trip coil that operated.
Which gases does it monitor?
SF6 and dry air, with alarms for leakage rate and time-till-lockout trend.
Is it suited to cold climates?
Yes, it adapts to changes in hydraulic viscosity and to humidity in pneumatic systems.
Can it manage several breakers at once?
Yes, through an upgradable fleet-management application that aggregates data from every monitor.
