Safety in the foreground

The series measures with both ground connections of the breaker in place: a current clamp powered by the instrument itself records the current diverted through the groundings and the device compensates it. The optional remote control unit starts and stops the test from a distance, and the plastic case endures field work with IP67 protection with the lid closed.

Seven models up to 800 A

From the RMO100G to the RMO800G, the ripple-free DC current rises and falls in automatically regulated ramps that remove magnetic transients; the 800 A model is the most powerful portable micro-ohmmeter of its class.

Main features

  • Range from 0.1 µΩ to 999.9 mΩ, expandable up to 6 Ω.
  • Typical accuracy of ±(0.1% of reading + 0.1% of full scale).
  • Optional high-precision module: 0.01 µΩ resolution.
  • 100 A test current continuously on every model.
  • Four test modes: SINGLE, CONTIN, BSG and DTRtest.
  • Memory for 500 timeand date-stamped measurements.
  • Optional 58 mm thermal printer and Bluetooth.

Applications and software

Contact resistance measurement on a breaker at the substation

Applications

  • Mediumand high-voltage breakers, live tank and dead tank.
  • GIS bays, disconnectors and switchgear with both sides grounded.
  • Busbars, cable splices, welded joints and fuses.
  • Manufacturing, commissioning and maintenance per IEEE C37.09 and IEC 62271-100.
  • Pass/fail criterion with Rmax limit.

PC software for control and analysis

The included PC software drives the test over USB or RS232, records results at configurable intervals in continuous mode, downloads the memory with search filters and generates fully configurable reports.

High output power

The high output voltage keeps the measuring range at high currents and accepts thin or long cables: the RMO100G tests at 100 A with 20 m cables of 16 mm², and the RMO800G generates up to 700 A with 10 m / 95 mm² cables.
