High ultraviolet sensitivity
The solar-blind detector locates incipient corona discharges with a typical sensitivity of 2.05×10-18 W/cm2 (3 pC at 20 m per IEC 60270:2000). An optional motorised module removes the solar-blind (SB) filter to reach a Non-Solar-Blind (NSB) sensitivity of around 1×10-18 W/cm2 (0.8 pC at 15 m) for indoor or night-time work.
Visible image synchronised with the UV channel
The 1920×1080-pixel visible channel operates at 0.05 lux in day mode and 0.03 lux in night mode, with 10x optical zoom extendable to 12x through digital zoom. The ultraviolet zoom is synchronised with the visible channel to keep the same field of view on the installation.
A lightweight unit for full working days
Weighing 1.9 kg and powered by quick-swap Li-ion batteries, the camera is operated with one hand through its multi-function keypad and 5.7-inch LCD display with adjustable sun shield, readable even in bright sunlight.
Ready for UAV inspection
Mounted on a suitable gimbal, the camera can be carried by professional-grade UAV platforms. The mini-HDMI or composite video output links to the ground base station, and the RS-232 port accepts remote-control signals during flight.

Ultraviolet channel
Gain, the threshold mask (adjustable from 20 to 100%) and the integration time — by period, summation or noise reduction — are set independently to optimise the image. The discharge is overlaid on the visible picture in 4 preset colour combinations or any of 100 user-selectable hues, with 0-100% transparency control.
Visible channel, GPS and recording
The visible sensor focuses automatically or manually from 0.7 m to infinity, with the ultraviolet channel linked to its focus position. Internal GPS with an external booster-antenna port, plus on-board recording of JPG stills and AVI 720p video to a microSD card, document every point inspected.
Operation and start-up
The system boots to inspection mode in 6 seconds and to recording mode in 60 seconds, with 10 user profiles and an icon-based menu that speeds up switching between working conditions.
Software and post-processing
On-board recording
Still images in JPG format and AVI 720p video are automatically saved to the 32 GB microSD card supplied with the unit, with capacity for over 1000 images or one hour of video per gigabyte.
Download and reporting
Files are downloaded via card reader or USB. The CoroBASE software, included as an accessory, organises the recorded material and drafts the inspection report; no additional licence is required to use it.
On-screen organisation and playback
Photos and videos are automatically numbered and can be listed and played back on the unit’s own display before downloading, allowing a first review in the field without a computer.
