The full SF6 cycle

The AMPERIS AE736A processes the SF6 of gas-insulated switchgear, circuit breakers, bus ducts, accelerators and transformers: it removes the gas from the equipment, liquefies it and stores it in the system tank; it evacuates the serviced equipment for dry-out before recharging; it re-evaporates the gas to refill; and it purifies by absorption, removing decomposition products and moisture.

Recovery that goes further

Recovery reaches below 0.5 mbar while compressing up to 50 bar, and the vacuum circuit reaches below 0.0001 mbar; the gas is dried and filtered to 0.5 µm on its way back to service.

Main features

  • Manual or PLC control; optional one-touch HMI touchscreen.
  • Choice of oil-less, oil-free or oil-lubricated SF6 compressors.
Image: Trailer-mounted version
  • Regulated inlet for direct connection to high-pressure bottles.
  • Automatic shut-off and high-pressure shutdown with warning light.
  • Instrumentation-grade valves and fittings; heavy-duty gauges.
  • Supplied with or without on-board storage.

Applications and configurations

Applications

  • Gas-insulated switchgear and circuit breakers charged with SF6.
  • Bus ducts, accelerators and transformers using SF6 as dielectric.
  • SF6 reclaiming and handling during commissioning and maintenance.

Built to order

Each cart is configured to the application: trailer, caster or skid mounting, aluminium enclosure or roll-up tarpaulin sides, with or without on-board storage, and manual, PLC or HMI 2 touchscreen control. Operation remains simple, with limited maintenance and safe, economical running.
