Up to 1350 V DC, 100 A and 40 kW, with a 7-inch touch screen
Battery dischargers
BLU-D
Battery capacity tester and battery discharger
Capacity measurement and full discharge of any battery string.
Product overview
Any bank, up to 1350 V DC
The series handles lead-acid, lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium or other chemistries up to 1350 V DC, and performs the capacity test according to IEEE 450, IEEE 1188, IEEE 1106 and IEC 60896. Voltage, current, power, capacity and elapsed time are followed in real time on the 7-inch touch screen.
Four discharge modes plus profiles
Discharge at constant current, power, resistance or voltage, plus I, P and R load profiles simulating real load variations. With an external DC clamp the battery can be tested without disconnecting it from its load.
Main features
- Two models: BLU1100D (up to 1100 V DC) and BLU1350D (up to 1350 V DC).
- Discharge current up to 100 A, adjustable with 0.1 A resolution.
- Maximum power of 40 kW over a wide voltage range.
- Full discharge down to 0 V with the external zero-voltage discharge module.
- Preset-voltage mode to discharge lithium before transport.
- Up to 10 same-model units in parallel (master-slave).
- Remote stop via dry or wet contact and test resume after a power cut.
Applications and software
Applications
- Capacity measurement of substation, industrial, UPS and EV banks.
- Full discharge down to 0 V before recycling lithium cells.
- Discharge to a preselected voltage before transport.
- Cell voltage supervision during the test, with the cell supervision system.
- Discharge process with ambient and cell temperature control.
PC software for control and analysis
The included PC software controls and supervises the test from a computer over USB, presents the parameters numerically and graphically and generates reports in XLS, PDF, Word or RTF, with configurable alarms for cell voltage, string voltage, capacity and time.
Two models, one platform
The BLU1100D and BLU1350D share features and accessories; they differ in the voltage range. Both discharge through minimum resistance below 5 V and, with the zero-voltage module, reach 0 V at constant current.
