The Modbus communications protocol allows the control of a network of devices, (electrical, humidity…etc), and communicate the results to a PC. Modbus is also used for the connection of a supervisory PC with a remote unit (RTU) in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
