The APQM-707, a class S analyzer that is configured, read and reported on its own touchscreen. How it is connected, what it checks, and what it does beyond recording. A trip, a flickering light, or a hot cable needs an answer on the spot. The APQM-707 is built for that. Connect it, look at the waveforms and harmonics on the screen, record if needed, and leave with the report, without a laptop. S to IEC 61000-4-30. 5 voltage inputs up to 760 volts,
and 4 current inputs with clamps up to 6 kA. A 7-inch touchscreen, and a memory card that holds more than 10 years of recording. All sockets are on the top edge, 4 current inputs on the left, and the voltage inputs L1, L2, L3, N, and PE on the right. Two buttons only, one to switch on, and one to start recording. Everything else is on the touchscreen, with a stylus for gloved hands. The live mode shows waveforms, a running RMS plot, tables, the phaser diagram, and the harmonic bars.
Configurations are created on the instrument, from a standard profile such as EN 50160 or from scratch, and saved for the next job. measurement takes five steps. Connect the network. Choose or create the configuration. Check the connection icon. Press start. And when the recording ends, analyze it and generate the report on the instrument. a four-wire network, connect N and the three phases.
PE goes to the protective conductor if the neutral to earth voltage is wanted. Then the three clamps, arrows towards the load, and a fourth on the neutral for the total apparent power. a three-wire network, the voltages of this analyzer are referenced to PE. So PE goes to earth, and L1, L2, and L3 go to their phases. The N input is left free. Then one clamp per phase. icon on the top bars sums up the connection.
Tap it, and a window lists voltages, currents, voltage, and current angles and frequency, each with its own mark. A reversed clamp or a swapped phase shows up before the recording starts. analyzer also measures the efficiency of an inverter. For a single-phase output, the DC plus goes to the N input and DC minus to L3. The AC side goes between L1 and PE. A DC clamp on the IN channel measures the input current, and a second clamp on L1 the output.
For motors and transformers, the inrush mode waits for the current to cross a threshold, set by default at one and a half times the nominal current, then records five to sixty seconds with one second of pre-trigger. It gives the maximum half-cycle RMS and the Joule integral to choose the protection. Recordings are analyzed on the instrument. Time plots of up to four parameters, the event list with waveforms, harmonic graphs, and a report on compliance with EN 50160. The energy cost calculator and the energy losses calculator turn the data into money.
Reports go to a USB stick as PDF, measuring Category 4 at 600 volts. An IP51 case with a folding lid, a lithium-ion battery for at least four hours, about six in typical use, charged in two, and 1.75 kilos. Troubleshooting in industrial and commercial networks, energy audits with cost calculation, commissioning of photovoltaic installations and their inverters, and day-to-day work for maintenance teams and power quality consultants.
