The APQM-702 and 703, class A recorders that you reach over the mobile network. What separates the two models, how they are connected, and how they are run from a distance. Both models share the same housing, the same inputs, and the same class A measurement. The 703 adds a transient recorder up to 8000 volts. And the 702T variant adds a probe for the temperature of an external object. Class A to IEC 60143-0, with voltage accuracy of 0.1%.
Five voltage inputs up to 1000 volts and four current inputs with clamps up to 6 kA. More than 4500 parameters, harmonics and interharmonics to the 50th. The color screen and four keys sit above three cable glands. Current inputs, the five voltage leads with PE, and the red power lead. The GPS receiver is built-in. The built-in GSM modem is what makes these analyzers different. With a data SIM card that has a static IP address, the analyzer can be configured, watched live, and read out from anywhere.
On-site, USB and a short-range radio link to the PC do the same. The GPS receiver locks the clock to universal time, which Class A requires. Indoors, an external antenna on a 10-meter cable is placed where it can see the sky. The same receiver guards the analyzer. If it moves more than 100 meters, it sends a text message with its position. campaign follows the same steps. Configure the measurement point in the software. Network, nominal voltage, clamps, and the EN 50160 profile.
Mount and connect the analyzer. Check screen one. Start recording, and from then on, follow it remotely. a four-wire network, PE goes to the protective conductor, into the neutral, and L1, L2, and L3 to their phases. Then the clamps, all arrows towards the load, with a fourth clamp on the neutral if needed. a split-phase supply, with the neutral at the center of the transformer winding, connect PE, N, then L1, and L2. Two clamps, one on each phase.
On medium voltage, the analyzer measures through instrument transformers. L1, L2, and L3 go to the secondaries of the voltage transformers, and N to their common point. The clamps go on the secondary circuits of the current transformers. The ratios are entered in the configuration. Screen one shows the phaser diagram and five checks. Voltages, currents, voltage angles, current angles, and frequency. A tick on each line means the wiring matches the configuration.
Across means a wrong lead or a reversed clamp, to be fixed before leaving. the APQM-703, a separate measuring circuit captures transients of plus or minus 8,000 volts, sampling at up to 10 MHz. They are measured against PE, so PE must always go to a local earth, and on three-wire networks the L3 lead is connected to. Every parameter group can be switched on or off. Averages from 200 ms, events with waveforms, and the mains signaling voltages used by utilities.
The 8 GB card can be expanded to 32, and the battery keeps recording through an outage. Measuring Category 4 at 600 volts. An IP65 housing for poles and outdoor cabinets, from minus 20 to 55 degrees, and about 1.6 kilos. Class A supply quality for energy services, disturbance diagnosis in industry and distribution networks, campaigns on low-voltage poles, and behind-instrument transformers.
