Relay protection test set with six voltages and six currents
Testing the differential protection of a three-phase transformer requires the currents of both windings at the same time, and that calls for a relay test set with six current channels. The AHZJB-1200 generates six 0-120 V voltages and six 0-30 A currents with class 0.2 accuracy, which can be freely combined or grouped up to 180 A, and has a built-in computer, display, trackball and keyboard for working without a PC.

Advantages
Three-phase differential without wiring tricks
The six currents feed both sides of a three-phase transformer differential protection simultaneously, and the differential and differential-harmonics modules calculate the points of the characteristic.
Clean waveform across the full range
Modular linear amplifiers, not switch-mode, deliver a waveform free of high-frequency noise from milliamperes up to maximum current, and the 32-bit digital signal processor generates it with low distortion.
No external computer
Windows, the display, trackball and keyboard are built into the unit; the USB port also allows operation with a PC.
Protected for field work
Soft start, self-diagnostics, output blocking and protection against overtemperature, overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuit, with automatic time limiting above 10 A.
Applications
- Current, voltage, frequency, inverse-time, directional power, impedance and synchronism relays.
- Line protection with auto-reclosing, distance and zero-sequence, and 6-35 kV line protection.
- Transformer, generator, busbar and fibre-optic line differential protection.
- Load shedding, loss of excitation and automatic synchronizers.
- Circuit-breaker timing using the binary inputs.
About the product
The AHZJB-1200 includes test modules for AC and DC, state sequence, harmonics, high and low frequency, direction and impedance, synchronization, complete-set testing, distance and zero-sequence, impedance characteristic, differential and fault playback, together with short-circuit calculation, vector diagram and reports. The fault can be triggered by time, by key, by binary input or by an external GPS pulse to test both ends of a line. It is supplied with test leads, clips, terminals and spare fuses.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum current of the AHZJB-1200?
30 A per phase with all six phases, 60 A per phase in three-phase mode and 180 A with all six phases in parallel for 10 s. Up to 10 A per phase it can operate continuously.
Does it need a PC?
No. It has a built-in Windows computer, display, trackball and keyboard. If preferred, it can be connected to a PC via USB.
Is it suitable for transformer differential protection?
Yes. With six currents it feeds both windings of a three-phase transformer at the same time, and it has dedicated differential and differential-harmonics modules.
What binary inputs does it accept?
Eight, for dry contacts or wet contacts up to 250 V: 0-6 V is read as a closed contact and 11-250 V as open.
How does it differ from the AHZJB-I?
The AHZJB-1200 has six voltages, six 30 A currents and a built-in computer; the AHZJB-I is three-phase, with four voltages and three 40 A currents, LCD display and rotary knob, or control from a PC.
