The flagship conference of electricity distribution
CIRED is the leading forum where the electricity-distribution community meets, held biennially at rotating venues across Europe. The 28th International Conference & Exhibition on Electricity Distribution took place from 16 to 19 June 2025 at Palexpo (Geneva, Switzerland), with more than 700 peer-reviewed papers, tutorial sessions and round tables, and over a hundred suppliers and service providers on the exhibition floor.
Unlike purely commercial fairs, CIRED combines academic and technical rigour with the presence of distribution system operators (DSOs/DNOs), utilities, engineering firms and consultancies. For Amperis, this technical nature is an advantage: its catalogue is designed precisely for maintenance and diagnostic engineers.
Europe: natural market and credibility platform
As a European technology partner —headquartered in Lugo, Spain— Amperis finds in CIRED both its natural market and a prestigious stage. The European energy transition is reshaping distribution grids: massive integration of renewables and distributed resources, demand electrification and higher reliability requirements. All of this multiplies the need for testing and diagnostic instrumentation at the distribution level, not only in transmission.
Taking part in CIRED reinforces the brand’s technical authority before European DSOs and eases contact with decision-makers who value accuracy, traceability and standards compliance above price.
What it brings to Amperis: positioning by product
The distribution level has specific needs that the Amperis catalogue covers in detail:
- Cable and switchgear diagnostics. Partial-discharge detection, with the PULD 40 ultrasonic system, is key to anticipating faults in medium-voltage networks.
- Power quality. The power-network analysers allow assessment of disturbances and harmonics linked to renewable integration.
- Installation safety. The earth-resistance testers, the insulation-resistance testers and the multifunction installation testers — such as the MPI540 / AMPI-540 — address the verification of transformation centres and service connections.
- Distribution transformers and protection. The transformer turns-ratio meters, the RMO TW winding ohmmeters and the relay testing and verification equipment complete the maintenance cycle.
Reinforcing the European position
CIRED 2025 consolidates Amperis at the technical heart of European distribution and complements its presence at the major Middle East and North American events. It is also an ideal showcase for a company that champions engineering advice as a differentiator. Explore the product catalogue or reach the team via contact.
