2.5 kV insulation resistance meter measuring up to 2 TΩ
The AMIC-2505 measures insulation resistance with 500, 1000 and 2500 V test voltages and reaches 2 TΩ per IEC 61557-2, with continuous indication of RISO or leakage current, AC/DC voltage measurement and rotary-switch operation designed for long series of tests.

Up to 2 TΩ at 2500 V
With a 2500 V test voltage the range reaches 2 TΩ (1 TΩ at 1000 V and 500 GΩ at 500 V), with a nominal current of 1 mA, an accuracy of ±(3% m.v. + 20 digits) and indication of the actual test voltage during the measurement.
Diagnosis by absorption coefficients
The meter times the T1, T2 and T3 intervals over the 15, 60 and 600 s range and calculates one or two absorption coefficients, with an acoustic signal every five seconds to capture the time characteristic of the insulation.
Two- or three-lead measurement
The three-lead method diverts the surface current of contaminated insulation, and the leakage current reading during the test helps to judge the real condition of the object.
Safe on live objects
Protection prevents measuring an energised object, the capacitance of the object is discharged automatically after each test, and the voltmeter function measures AC and DC voltages from 0 to 600 V.

About the product
The AMIC-2505 is an insulation resistance meter with test voltages up to 2.5 kV, an ergonomic housing and intuitive operation: every test voltage and mode is chosen with a rotary switch, which is particularly useful when many measurements are chained. Resolution starts at 0.1 kΩ and the maximum short-circuit current is 1.4 mA ±15%.
It meets the requirements of the EN 61557 standard and of double insulation per EN 61010-1, with a CAT IV 600 V (CAT III 1000 V) measurement category. The firmware supports communication with a PC through the optional USB cable, to download the readings to a computer.
Available accessories: 1.8 m, 5 kV test leads (red, blue and shielded black), 5 kV pin probe, 11 kV crocodile clips, battery pack with mains charger, carrying case, straps and a calibration certificate; optionally 5 and 10 m leads, the PRS-1 probe for floors and walls, the CS-1 cable simulator and a USB cable.

Frequently asked questions
What range is covered at each test voltage?
At 500 V it measures up to 500 GΩ, at 1000 V up to 1 TΩ and at 2500 V up to 2 TΩ, always indicating the actual test voltage during the measurement.
Can it measure leakage current?
Yes. During the insulation test it continuously indicates either the resistance or the leakage current flowing through the insulation of the object.
What happens when the measurement ends?
The meter automatically discharges the capacitance of the tested object, so it can be disconnected safely.
Is it suitable for installations in service?
It is protected against measuring live objects and includes an AC/DC voltmeter from 0 to 600 V to check the state of the circuit before the test.
