The major U.S. transmission and distribution event
DISTRIBUTECH International (DTECH) is regarded as the most influential annual transmission and distribution (T&D) trade show and conference in the United States. The 2025 edition ran from 24 to 27 March at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, with more than 800 exhibitors and several thousand power-sector professionals. The programme covered electricity-delivery automation, energy efficiency, distributed energy resources (DER), advanced metering, grid reliability and resilience, communications and cybersecurity. It is a roaming event that changes U.S. city each year, giving it national geographic reach and attracting both local and international audiences. For Amperis, it means direct access to the North American ecosystem of utilities, electric cooperatives and engineering firms.
Why the North American market is decisive
The United States operates one of the largest and most demanding power grids in the world, now undergoing modernisation after decades of mature infrastructure. Texas, the host state, is also a first-rank energy hub thanks to its own electricity market (ERCOT) and intense generation and transmission activity. Entering and establishing oneself in this market requires meeting strict technical standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC), which acts as a credibility seal for any provider.
A presence at DTECH positions Amperis before buyers who demand reliable, traceable testing and diagnostic equipment, and reinforces the brand in a territory where the purchasing decision is often closely tied to local presence and support.
What it brings to Amperis: positioning by product
DTECH’s focus on grid reliability connects directly with the Amperis diagnostics catalogue:
- Circuit-breaker testing. The micro-ohmmeters and the coil testers for breaker testing and verification are core tools in distribution-substation maintenance.
- Transformers. RMO TW Series, transformer turns-ratio meters and insulation-resistance testers cover the testing of power and distribution transformers.
- Grid quality and safety. The power-network analysers, the earth-resistance testers and the loop-impedance meters — such as the AMZC-306 and the high-current AMZC-310S — address the reliability and resilience requirements at the heart of the event’s agenda.
- Thermographic inspection. The thermal imaging cameras and corona cameras provide non-contact predictive diagnostics on lines and switchgear.
A bridgehead in North America
Taking part in DISTRIBUTECH International 2025 places Amperis at the heart of the U.S. T&D market and creates continuity with its American strategy, which has a renewed appointment at the 2026 San Diego edition. Browse the full product catalogue or request advice via contact.
