10 kV insulation resistance meter with measurements up to 40 TΩ
The AMIC-10K1 measures insulation resistance up to 40 TΩ with any test voltage from 50 V to 10 kV, and completes the diagnosis with PI, DAR, SV and DD indices, burnout damage location and continuity testing to EN 61557-4.
Advantages
Test voltage tailored to the object
Any value from 50 to 1000 V in 25 V steps and from 1000 V to 10 kV in 50 V steps, with test currents of 1.2, 3 or 5 mA and continuous indication of the measured resistance or leakage current.
Measurements up to 40 TΩ
The measuring range per EN 61557-2 reaches 10 MΩ to 40 TΩ at 10 kV, with a basic accuracy of ±(3 % of reading + 10 digits) and two- or three-wire measurement with test leads up to 20 m.
Complete insulation diagnostics
T1, T2 and T3 times for absorption coefficients from 1 to 600 s, polarization index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), step-voltage tests (SV), dielectric discharge (DD) and damage location by burnout.
Ready for noisy environments
A digital filter stabilises readings in environments with strong interference, the object capacitance discharges automatically after each test and live objects are detected before the measurement starts.
Memory and connectivity
An innovative memory describes measurement points, sites and clients, results transfer by USB or Bluetooth, and the backlit 5.6-inch LCD draws graphs during the measurement; an optional mini Bluetooth keyboard speeds up data entry.
Applications
- Insulation testing of power transformers, motors and generators.
- Single- and multi-core high-voltage cables.
- Capacitors, switchgear and other substation equipment.
- Continuity of protective connections and equipotential bonding per EN 61557-4.
- Maintenance measurements in environments with high electrical noise.
About the product
The AMIC-10K1 runs from the 90-265 V mains or from its battery packs with built-in fast charger, is rated CAT IV 600 V (CAT III 1000 V) with double insulation and reaches IP67 with the cover closed; it is supplied with 10 kV test leads, crocodile clips, pin probes, USB cable, carrying case, battery pack, software and a calibration certificate.

Frequently asked questions
What test voltages does it provide?
Any voltage between 50 V and 10 kV: in 25 V steps up to 1000 V and in 50 V steps from 1000 V to 10 kV.
What diagnostics does it offer besides resistance?
Polarization index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), step-voltage tests (SV), dielectric discharge (DD), leakage current, capacitance and temperature with an optional probe.
Can it locate insulation damage?
Yes. The burnout function intensifies the damage point so the fault can be located, and the digital filter keeps readings stable in noisy environments.
How are results stored and transferred?
An internal memory with descriptions of points, sites and clients stores the results, which transfer to a PC by USB or Bluetooth.
How is it powered?
From the 90-265 V, 50/60 Hz mains or from battery packs with the built-in fast charger, so insulation tests can run independently of the mains.
