Dielectric testing stand for insulating mats

Checking the dielectric strength of an insulating mat calls for a stand with electrodes covering the whole mat and an AC voltage source able to apply the test voltage set by the standard. The IMT-40 tests mats up to 1200 × 1200 mm at up to 40 kV AC, 50 Hz, to IEC 61111 and ASTM D1048, with replacement electrodes of various sizes for different types of blankets, mats and covers; it measures 1300 × 1900 × 1000 mm and weighs 120 kg without electrodes.

Frequently asked questions

Which insulating mats can be tested on the IMT-40, and to which standards?

Mats up to 1200 × 1200 mm, at a test voltage of up to 40 kV AC, 50 Hz, to IEC 61111 and ASTM D1048. With its replacement electrodes of various sizes, the IMT-40 also adapts to different types of blankets and covers.

How much space does the IMT-40 take, and can it be used on site?

The IMT-40 measures 1300 × 1900 × 1000 mm and weighs 120 kg without electrodes. For on-site testing, the same mat testing stand is fitted in the MSP-100SFT trailer-mounted mobile laboratory.
