Withstand testing of dielectric gloves, boots, blankets, rods and voltage detectors up to class 4
The AHZAQ is a 10 kVA / 100 kV system for the insulation testing of dielectric personal protective equipment and insulated tooling, with an 8-position test bath.
A complete test system
Designed for acceptance and periodic testing of electrical-safety equipment, the test bath holds eight pairs of boots or gloves at once and reads the leakage current of every position separately, while an infrared link keeps the control console fully isolated from the high-voltage side. The system is completed with a control desk, a 10 kVA voltage-raising transformer (50 kV or 100 kV version), a high-voltage divider and a protection resistor. The whole set can be trailer-mounted for on-site work at remote locations.
Items tested, by class
- Dielectric gloves: classes 00 to 4.
- Dielectric boots: classes 0 to 4.
- Dielectric sleeves: classes 0 to 4.
- Blankets, mats and covers: classes 0 to 4.
- Insulated tools and other electrical equipment.
- Hot sticks up to 4 m, tested at 100 kV every 300 mm.
- Capacitive voltage detectors of 35 kV and below.
Control, automation and reports
The withstand test — ramp-up, hold, ramp-down and power-off — runs unattended once started, with an independent high-voltage disconnect per channel, so a single fault does not stop the other seven tests. A large LCD on the console shows the eight leakage currents together with the test voltage, the test current and the timer, all at the same time. The system stores 60 test records and prints on-site reports on the built-in high-speed printer, with over-voltage and over-current protection and a high-voltage hazard warning light.

Frequently asked questions
How many items does the AHZAQ test at once?
Eight, either pairs of gloves or of boots, each with its own leakage-current reading.
What is the maximum test voltage?
Up to 100 kV, by fitting the transformer of that version; the 50 kV version covers the lower-voltage tests.
Can it test rods and voltage detectors?
Yes, with the optional accessories: the rod bracket, up to 110 kV by segments, and the voltage-detector stand for capacitive detectors up to 35 kV.
What protects the operator during the test?
The infrared link that isolates the console from the high-voltage circuit, the independent disconnect per channel and the over-voltage and over-current protections.
