Periodic testing of a crew's insulating gloves, sleeves and boots calls for an AC tester that reaches class 4 and shows the current of every item during the test. The MSP-40 tests class 00 to 4 gloves and class 0 to 4 sleeves and boots up to 40 kV AC per ASTM D120, F496 and IEC 60903; with additional accessories it also tests class 0 to 4 blankets, mats and covers, insulated tools and phase and voltage indicators up to 40 kV, and its menu-driven microprocessor control sets the test voltage, current limit and test time for each class.

Product Description

Dielectric Glove, Sleeve and Boots Tester MSP-40 is designed for:

Testing of personal protective equipment:

  • Gloves - class 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 ;
  • Boots - class 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • Sleeves - class 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.

Testing of insulating equipment (With additional accessories):

  • Blankets, mats, covers - class 0, 1, 2, 3, 4;
  • Insulated tools and other electric equipment. Up to 40 kV AC;
  • Phase and voltage indicator - up to 40kV.

Allows Testing under ASTM D120, F496 and IEC 60903 Standards.

Three-year warranty (for EU customers)

All adjustments are controlled via menu-operated microprocessor-controlled system. With selection of test voltage, current limit, and test time. Microprocessor control provides the user with menu-based system – to select the type (class, length, new or retest) of rubber items for testing. This eliminates any chance for operator error and provides an extremely fast changeover from one class to another. Current readings of all positions are conveniently displayed on control panel, and peak current during the test is saved on screen, for easy record keeping.

MSP-40 key data

  • Personal protective equipment: the MSP-40 tests class 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 gloves, and class 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 boots and sleeves.
  • Insulating equipment (with additional accessories): class 0 to 4 blankets, mats and covers, and insulated tools and other electrical equipment up to 40 kV AC.
  • Indicators: the MSP-40 tests phase and voltage indicators up to 40 kV.
  • Standards: testing per ASTM D120, ASTM F496 and IEC 60903.
  • Control: menu-driven microprocessor to select test voltage, current limit and test time, and the type of rubber item (class, length, new or retest), which rules out operator error and speeds up changeover from one class to another.
  • Readings and records: current readings of all positions are displayed on the MSP-40 control panel and the peak current of the test is kept on screen for easy record keeping.
  • Warranty: the MSP-40 carries a three-year warranty for EU customers.
