What the HPS-HV fast charging stations do for an electric fleet, how one charger serves batteries of any chemistry and voltage, how it talks to the vehicle, how it is installed, and how it grows with the fleet. An electric fleet earns its keep only while it moves. Forklifts, ground support vehicles, and industrial trucks often run around the clock, with lithium batteries at ever higher voltages, and mixed fleets bring several battery types to the same depot. The charger has to be fast, efficient, and able to serve all of them.
The HPS-HV is a family of DC fast charging stations optimized for lithium-ion batteries, and able to charge batteries of any type, chemistry, voltage, and size. Each unit delivers 10 to 60 kW, with outputs up to 800 V DC, indoors or outdoors. figures, up to 60 kW per unit, up to 800 V, a peak efficiency above 97%, a power factor above 0.99, input current distortion below 15%, and less than 10 W on standby. Inside is third-generation hybrid IGBT power conversion. From the three-phase grid, it draws a clean, almost sinusoidal current,
and delivers a smooth DC output, with a ripple below 8% peak-to-peak, which is what the battery cells appreciate. ranges cover the fleet. The standard models deliver 12 to 650 V DC, from 12 to 60 kW, and up to 150 amps. The extended range models deliver 250 to 800 V, at 50 or 60 kW, and up to 100 amps. charger talks to the battery. A canvas interface connects to the battery management system, with many protocols and data speeds,
and wireless battery identification modules can be integrated. The charger recognizes each battery or vehicle automatically, and applies the right curve. One station serves the whole fleet. Battery or vehicle recognition is automatic. Standard charging curves come pre-programmed for a quick setup, and the voltage drop along the DC cable is compensated automatically, so the battery receives exactly what the curve asks.
The LCD interface and its communication package let the depot decide how energy is used, which vehicle charges first, at what times, how much power the depot may draw, and how to shave the peaks of demand. That is what makes fast and opportunity charging affordable. station needs a three-phase supply and a good earth. Earth first, then the three phases. On the output side, the DC cable goes to the plus and minus of the battery or vehicle and the canvas link to its battery management system.
When the battery is disconnected, auxiliary contacts prevent arcing. A complete electronic protection package keeps people and batteries safe and the depot productive. Anti-arcing on disconnection, status on the graphic display, an audible alarm and high brightness multicolor LEDs, and an emergency stop on the front. There are three enclosures. The indoor version, up to 36 kilowatts,
measures 717 by 559 millimeters and 1.2 meters high. Two outdoor versions take up to 60 kilowatts at 1.3 and 1.6 meters high. Options adapt it to each site. A stack light that shows charger and battery status from afar, an automatic watering system, and an air pump for electrolyte recirculation on lead acid batteries, and a charger stand with cable management. A GSE version suits airport ground support equipment, and a CME version suits cold storage and mining.
The design is parallelable. As the fleet and its batteries grow, more units add their power together instead of replacing the charger. Input voltages and certifications are available for deployment worldwide, and the warranty protection is among the strongest in its class. place is wherever electric vehicles must be ready again quickly. Industrial, commercial, and passenger fleets, forklifts and airport ground support equipment, cold stores and mines,
and every operation that charges fast or in short breaks around the clock. The essentials. Three-phase input at 400 to 440 volts. Output up to 800 volts. Up to 60 kilowatts and 150 amps per unit. And a peak efficiency above 97%. Battery maintenance from Amperis.
