Handheld thermal cameras for electrical and industrial predictive maintenance
The TC4 and TC8 combine a thermal detector of 160 × 120 or 384 × 288 with a 3 MP daylight camera on a 3.6-inch touchscreen, in a body that survives 2 m drops and 25G shocks.
Advantages
Built to be dropped
New drop-resistant sensor technology withstands 2 m falls, 25G shocks (IEC 68-2-29) and 2G vibration (IEC 68-2-6), with IP54 sealing — under 1 kg in hand.
Fusion display
The thermal image and the 3 MP daylight photo fuse on the 3.6-inch touchscreen, and dual LED fill lights keep dark cabinets visible.
Two models, one platform
The TC4 (160 × 120) covers −20 °C to +350 °C, expandable to 650 °C; the TC8 (384 × 288) reaches +650 °C, expandable to 1200 °C or 2000 °C.
Analysis and alarms
Up to 5 spots, 5 areas and 2 lines with maximum, minimum and average values, profiles, isotherms, temperature difference and voice/colour alarms.
Connected in real time
Network transmission of picture and video, Bluetooth audio (headset/RS232) and mini-USB transfer of images and radiometric data.
Applications
- Predictive maintenance of electrical panels, lines and substation equipment.
- Industrial inspection and process control.
- Scientific research with real-time transmission.
About the product
TC4 and TC8 share an ergonomic handheld design with side-mount handrail, 1/4-inch tripod thread and a Li-Ion battery for 3 h of continuous use with automatic sleep and shut-down. Recording combines JPEG and H.264, both with original radiometric data, plus 60 s voice notes per image.
Storage on 8 GB micro SD (TF) card, expandable to 32 GB.

Frequently asked questions
What distinguishes the TC4 from the TC8?
The detector: 160 × 120 with 2.37 mrad in the TC4 and 384 × 288 with 1.37 mrad in the TC8, which also extends the temperature range up to 2000 °C as an option.
Does it survive a fall on site?
Yes. The series is rated for 2 m drops, 25G shocks and 2G vibration, with IP54 sealing.
How is audio handled?
Voice notes of up to 60 s attach to each image through the built-in microphone, and Bluetooth links a headset or RS232 for audio and data.
How are images transferred?
Via mini-USB with measurement data, video output or network transmission in real time.
