Multifunction electrical installation meter to IEC 61557
The AMPI-530 gathers fault loop, RCD, insulation up to 10 GΩ, earth, continuity and light intensity measurements in one instrument, and adds a single-phase mains recorder with harmonics and THD.
Advantages
Complete diagnostics to IEC 61557
It measures Z L-PE, Z L-N and Z L-L fault loop impedance with 23 A (44 A phase-to-phase), also in RCD-protected circuits without tripping, and calculates the prospective short-circuit current automatically.
RCD testing from 10 to 1000 mA
It checks general and selective breakers of AC, A and B types, measuring the tripping time tA and the tripping current IA, starting from the positive or the negative half of the waveform.
Insulation up to 10 GΩ and continuity
Test voltages of 50 to 1000 V with automatic discharge, measurement through the UNI-Schuko plug and automatic testing of 3-, 4- and 5-core cables with the AutoISO-1000C adapter; PE continuity is verified with ±200 mA in both directions.
Earth by four methods plus a light meter
Earth resistance is measured with the 3-pole, 4-pole, 3-pole plus clamp and two-clamp methods, soil resistivity with the Wenner method, and an external probe measures light intensity.
Single-phase mains recorder
It records voltage up to 500 V, current up to 3 kA with clamps, frequency, powers, cosφ, harmonics up to the 40th and THD, with a tree memory of 6000 cells and 10 000 records and USB and Bluetooth transfer.
Applications
- Verification of domestic and industrial electrical installations to IEC 61557.
- Electric shock protection measurements for commissioning and maintenance.
- Testing of RCDs, continuity of PE conductors and earth resistance.
- Basic mains diagnostics: harmonics, THD, powers and phase sequence.
About the product
The AMPI-530 is a multifunction installation meter with an IP54 housing and CAT IV 300 V measuring category, powered by LR14 cells or a NiMH battery with built-in charger; the tree-structured memory and the USB and Bluetooth interfaces simplify downloading results and preparing reports.

Frequently asked questions
What does the AMPI-530 measure?
Fault loop impedance, RCD parameters, insulation resistance up to 10 GΩ, earth resistance and soil resistivity, continuity with ±200 mA, light intensity, phase sequence and single-phase mains parameters.
Can it measure the loop without tripping the RCD?
Yes. A 15 mA measuring function avoids tripping residual current devices with a rated current of 30 mA or higher.
Which RCDs can it test?
General and selective breakers of AC, A and B types with rated currents of 10, 30, 100, 300, 500 and 1000 mA, measuring both tripping time and tripping current.
How are the results downloaded?
The tree memory stores 6000 cells and 10 000 records, transferred over USB 2.0 or Bluetooth to prepare test reports on a computer.
How is the meter powered?
With five LR14 alkaline cells or a 4.8 V 4.2 Ah NiMH battery; the charger is built in and works from the mains or from a 12 V car socket.
