Multifunction installation meter with insulation testing up to 2500 V
The AMPI-525 gathers every verification measurement of an electrical installation in one instrument — fault loop impedance, RCDs, insulation resistance up to 2500 V, 3-pole earth resistance, continuity and phase sequence — with a 990-cell memory and data transfer to the PC over USB or radio.
Advantages
Insulation up to 2500 V
Few multifunction meters test RISO at 2500 V: the range reaches 9.99 GΩ per IEC 61557-2 and, with the AutoISO-2500 adapter, 3-, 4- or 5-core cables are tested automatically without changing connections.
Loop with 0.01 Ω resolution
Impedance ZL-PE, ZL-N and ZL-L is measured from 0.13 to 1999.9 Ω with ±(5% m.v. + 3 digits), also in circuits protected by RCDs without tripping them.
RCDs with a single trip
The automatic mode measures the tripping time tA and tripping current IA of AC, A and B type RCDs — general, short-time delay and selective — obtaining both parameters from a single trip of the breaker.
Standards-based earth and continuity
Earth resistance by the 3-pole method covers 0.5 Ω to 1.99 kΩ per IEC 61557-5, and continuity of protective conductors is verified with ±200 mA per IEC 61557-4.
Applications
- Complete verification of electrical installations before commissioning.
- Periodic electric-shock protection inspections in housing and industry.
- Automatic testing of multicore cables with the AutoISO-2500 adapter.
About the product
The AMPI-525 is a multifunction meter of electrical installation parameters focused on insulation: it tests at 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 2500 V, with a timer from 1 to 600 s and two absorption coefficients calculated automatically, and discharges the object after each test. Voltage measurement up to 500 V, frequency and phase sequence complete its functions.
The 990-cell memory stores up to 57 500 records that travel to the PC over USB 2.0 or radio, where the reader software archives them and the reporting software generates the documentation. With CAT IV 300 V (CAT III 600 V), 288 × 223 × 75 mm and about 2.2 kg, it accompanies installers and measurement engineers.
Available accessories: WS-03 UNI-Schuko adapter, 1.2 m and 5 kV leads, 15 m and 30 m reel leads, probes, clips, earth rods, battery with charger, carrying case and calibration certificate; optionally the AutoISO-2500, AGT three-phase adapters and the OR-1 receiver.

Frequently asked questions
Which insulation test voltages are available?
Six voltages — 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 2500 V — with IEC 61557-2 ranges reaching 9.99 GΩ at 2500 V.
Can it measure the loop without tripping the RCD?
Yes. The RCD mode measures ZL-PE from 0.50 Ω in circuits with RCDs of 30 mA or more without causing them to trip.
How does it test RCDs?
It measures the tripping time and current of AC, A and B type RCDs with currents from 0.5 to 5 IΔn, and its automatic mode obtains both parameters from a single trip.
What does the AutoISO-2500 adapter add?
It automatically tests the insulation of 3-, 4- or 5-core cables without rewiring between measurements, saving most of the testing time.
